Zumba addicted is how I would like to describe myself lately. I am constantly thinking when I can get my next "fix" of Zumba. Recently I found a few Zumba classes in the area and can't keep myself away. I used to do it weekly when I lived in Massachusetts but haven't been able to find a class since I moved back to Connecticut. Then with in the last two weeks I found multiple classes that I have really enjoyed. On Tuesday nights I dance in bare feet, which is a fun way to do Zumba. The class is at My Gym, a children's gym, and they don't let shoes on the carpeted gym floor. Next week I will attend a Monday and Thursday night class. This week I attended the Thursday class and the instructor was great. The class was a fun mix of dancing with some aerobic movements. The class was well balanced, a difficult characteristic to find while looking for a class. Overall I am definitely Zumba addicted!
Are you Zumba addicted? Is there a Zumba experience you would share? Has anyone tried Zumba toning classes or Aquatic Zumba? Have you lost weight due to Zumba? How many calories do you think you burn while Zumbaing? I did some research and found that I could burn around 450 calories. I found a Zumba toning class on Saturday mornings and think I might try it out tomorrow. While searching for a class on the Zumba website I came across a Zumba vacation where they have Zumba classes at a Club Med resort. It is to late to think about doing that this year, the vacation is in December but it is something to look into in 2011.
I have been a Zumba addict for almost two years now! It was the one thing that got me back into the exercise!
