Christmas 2010

Wow, a lot has happened in the last four weeks since my last post. So I will try to catch you up on everything. I did decide to join weight watchers and I attend Sunday morning meetings. I love it, the leader and other members are helpful, funny and easy to talk to. The first three weeks of the new program wasn't a huge success but none the less i was still losing weight. The first and second week I lost approximately one pound combined and the third week I stayed the exact same. I always think it is absolutely amazing that you can stay the same on the scale. Anyway this past week was my fourth week of ww and it was also Christmas, I was a little afraid. But the week started and I tried planning out my food except at work there were hundreds of snacks and baked goods, by Thursday I couldn't bare to even look at another sweet treat. Needless to say I ate many cookies and many unhealthy treats during the week and at first thought my weigh in was doomed. Then as the week went by I realized that even though I probably ate more then I should of I still drank lots of water, exercised and filled up on zero point fruit. Those tactics helped me get through until Thursday. Friday I ate an spinach and artichoke souffle and it was delicious!! Then I had Christmas eve dinner and a little dessert, trying not to go overboard. Christmas day we had everyone for breakfast and I ate fruit salad and a cinnamon bun, then went to Gram's and had dinner. Overall the actual holiday was better then the days before. Now the holiday is over and I went to my meeting this morning with the attitude of "I have nothing to lose". If I gained then I would move on and if I lost I would do the same and move on. So with happiness I would like to say this was my best week yet and I lost 2.6 pounds bringing my personal weight loss to over twelve pounds. Of course WW says I have only lost a little over three but it's all ok. By losing this weight I have achieved a number that I have not seen in about four years!!

Hope everyone's holiday was awesome, it was so nice to spend it with family! And on this note I'm going to go try out my new Zumba game on the Wii. Happy New Year!!
